Our Dancer!

After a long week of attending dance clinics after school and enduring a long weekend of tryouts and interview, Katie made the Kings Junior High School Dance Team for next year. She was so nervous pacing around the apartment until we could head back to the school for results. A couple of girls from our new neighborhood also made the team so carpooling should help me and the amount of time I spend driving to dance. To say that Katie is excited would be an understatement, and I am sure next fall can't come fast enough for her. We are proud of her and all her hard work. One interesting point, during the interview the coach asked her to rate herself on a scale of 1 to 10 in a couple of different areas. One of those areas was academics, when Katie answered 10 the coach responded "a 10 really, and why would you give yourself a 10"? Katie came back with "I have straight A's and try my best in class". The coaches answer was "Yeah, that would be a 10". Good Job Katie!
