Last weekend Brad and I had an early anniversary get-a-way. Brad's cousin came down from Dayton to stay with the kids and we went out to dinner and spent the night at this great old hotel, The Golden Lamb Inn. It was established in 1803 and the current building was built in 1815. We stayed in the Hayes room, it had a queen bed, bathroom and sitting room. I loved old historical things so this was my idea of perfect, and Brad I think enjoyed it as well. The following morning we window shopped through Lebanon and Waynesville, which are full of great small town antique stores. We bought a desk for Carters room and a new kitchen table. It is wonderful- solid maple with eight chairs. It was so fun to relax and get away with just us, even though it was local. A great stay-cation! Happy 14 years to us!!
