A book in hand
So far my older girls take after me in their love of books. They are always reading, my problem is keeping good books always on hand. As they have gotten older and grown into the teen genre a book that we both agree on can sometimes be a challenge. But I loved it when as Sara's parent teacher conference last week her teacher told me that every time Sara finishes her assignment or has free time she has her book open. It reminds me of myself. Then I became a mother and my family knows that if I am involved in a really good book it is mac and cheese for dinner and I am reading by the stove waiting for water to boil, stirring and pretending to cook! Carter is learning to read now and is doing so well- I hope he loves a good book as much as his sisters do. As I have been helping Carter in the evenings Camille has joined the fun and likes to practice her letters and sounds. Am I going to be lucky enough to have all four of my kids trying to read by flashlight after lights out and bedtime. I hope so.....
