In October we visited the corn maze and pumpkin patch to pick up a few choice pumpkins for our jack-o-lanterns and fresh apple cider. We always have fun and it's a great start to the fall season.
At school Katie had '80s day as part of Spirit Week. It is so funny to watch her dress up. Brings back such memories. Are you old enough to remember '60s day when we were young?
Carter was part of a flag football league this fall. He had a really good time. The team didn't win many games, but the coach was fun and the boys always had a good time. This was the first time playing for most of the boys. And at this age what made the season a success was the trophy and pictures at the end of the season. Carter is trying to convince us that he should play "real" tackle football next year. I don't think I am ready for that.
Another fun happening in November was a visit from my parents. We took them to a few of the Cincinnati sites a few days and other days we just relaxed and enjoyed having family in town. It is always great to have family visit. We miss seeing them.
And of course in November we had Thanksgiving. It was just us this year, but it was great. We kept it simple but yummy. And after the turkey, Brad and I searched the newspaper ads and created a Black Friday shopping plan. I can now say after a few Internet orders today (Monday) that I am done Christmas shopping. Now let the wrapping fun begin! I love being done shopping this early. I can relax and enjoy the holiday season!
