I have finally given in to technology (with the help of a few friends and family). My hope is to stay better connected to those whom live so far away. Our move has given me a good place to start... We are surviving in a three bedroom apartment (and a few storage units). It is wall to wall furniture. But oh so fast and easy to vacuum. I haven't even bothered hanging pictures up first I am not exactly sure where they are and second then I would just have to repack them.
Carter celebrated his sixth birthday on the 16th. It was extra memorable because our power was out due to the strong wind storm that came through Cincinnati. We are having cake by candle light (and flashlight). Unfortunately the ice cream melted. Along with all the other contents in our freezer. That was a long 38 hours especially with the kids out of school! I was so happy when both the school and our home got power back!!
Carter's first day of Kindergarten. He is so excited to be going to school on the big yellow bus. Camille is very bored in the afternoon without him at home. We have had many, many, many "please play princess with me mom" moments. I am looking for activities that we can get out of the house together.
It was hard to let my little boy leave by himself. I am thankful he rides home with Sara. I will post Sara and Katie's first day pictures when I upload them. (Actually I forgot first day it is more like 3rd day).
Finally, the last big event of the month was our annual trip to Kings Island. The kids always have such a great time. We need to spend the entire day there now. Our kids have such mixed ages that Katie and Sara want to ride the 'big' rides and Carter and Camille want to stay in Kiddie Land. Sometimes we split up and I always end up doing the spin rides. Its a good thing I don't really mind. It was a fun day and night. But so hard to get up for church at 9:00 the next day!
We are adjusting to our new home and school and the month of September has flown by. I am so excited for fall. The leaves are changing and the nights are cooler. It is my favorite time of year.
This first photo is our combined family room and living room which then goes to photo two our dining room and kitchen. Below is master bedroom and office.

Hi Jen,
Thanks for including me on your blog list. The kids look so cute! I can't believe how big Carter looks! Your house looks very cute. You will have great memories from this strange time. Lots of "remember the apartment" stories.
