Brad has added a new skill to his list of can do's. The belt on my treadmill needed to be replaced, so I ordered the parts needed and in an effort to save some money decided we could replace the belt ourselves instead of paying the repair man. The customer service rep I talked to on the phone from Icon assured me that is was really easy to replace the belt and would probably take about 30 minutes. So I promised Brad this was going to be easy and I would help out. In the end- yes we saved the $140 to have someone come and repair the machine, but the 30 minutes easy fix-no way! THREE HOURS later (seriously 3 hours) the treadmill is put back together. I have a huge bruise on my leg and both Brad and I are frustrated and cranky. (It was 2 a.m.) I have run on it twice so far and everything appears to be functioning properly-time will tell if we did a good job though. Was it worth saving the money? I'm not sure, but it was a learning experience.
