Care Center

Last night for Activity Days (I am the leader), we went to a care center to sing carols and drop off fleece lap blankets the girls made. I was really worried about how the girls would respond. This was a first for some of them, but I am happy to report that all is well. I even ended up taking ALL my own kiddos because Brad couldn't get out of work (it didn't help that we were meeting earlier than the usual seven). The girls sang beautifully and a few reached out and talked to the residents, even giving hugs. I consider it a success when on the way home, Sara decided that when she is a teenager, she wants to give a lot of volunteer hours to the care center and help them more than just at Christmas.
